QC Kinetix – Recommendations

Overuse, injury, overuse, or a combination of all of these factors may cause joint pain. If overuse is the cause of the joint pain, the doctor will advise the patient to take it easy before the muscles have had time to heal and rebuild. If the pain is caused by an injury, the doctor may suggest physical therapy, ice, heat, or other non-medicinal methods of pain relief. If the pain is due to overuse, your doctor can advise you to rest and reduce your activity until the injury heals. The doctor will then decide how to continue with the joint pain medication.
The pain in your joints is a symptom, not a disease. Make an appointment with a doctor if the joint pain lasts for more than a few days or worsens. A series of tests will be performed by the doctor to assess what is causing the pain. An x-ray is the most common test, and it can show a lot about the bone structure. Pain may be relieved with medication, but in some cases, surgery is needed to restore damaged cartilage.
