Austin knee pain doctor- An Intro
Posted by Yafr Qqater in Healthcare, Medical
As in all visits to your doctor, you want to make him aware of any medications that you may be taking that has, or may have, an effect on your knee pain or joint pain, either prescribed by him or another doctor, as well as any over vitamins, natural supplements and over the counter drugs that you may be taking.
Be very explicit in sharing with your doctor any symptoms that you may be experiencing. Some of these symptoms may seem unimportant to you, but they can be very helpful in assisting your doctor to diagnose your problem and be better able to prescribe the best procedure to cure your pain. Things such as when the pain first occurred, what you may have done to initiate it, what you do that makes your joint pain hurt the most, if it hurts more at one time of day or not, any activity that you do that is painful, and any other information that can help your doctor diagnose the problem.
Be sure to share with your doctor any changes in your life style that may be having an effect on the way that you feel, including any major stress that may be in your life. It goes without saying the importance of telling your doctor of any falls or accidents you may have had or been involved in.
And last, but definitely not least, be sure to write down any questions that you may want to ask your doctor concerning your knee pain or any other pain that you may be experiencing. Some of us have what is sometimes called ‘white coat syndrome’ when we go to the doctor’s office. My blood pressure is always higher when I visit my doctor. Some of this is caused by elevated pain, but some of it is’ just because I am there’. If you do not write down your questions beforehand, it is a high probability that you will not get an answer to all of your questions because you simply failed to ask the questions.
